First Hex

My first Hexagenia hatch experience this summer shocked me. Unfortunatley I wasn’t fishing- I was in a bar. I was travelling through Southern Minnesota (on I-90) and stayed near a shallow silty-bottomed lake. The following note was scribbled in my journal:
