A day in Driftless
Fishing alone has its charm and for the past few years solo has become my default mode of river assault. But last weekend I triple teamed a small Driftless stream with two comrades and enjoyed every minute of action.
The advantages of fishing in the plural include accelerating the correct fly pattern experiment. In this case detective Mark uncovered dry flies were the favored take – and from then on we all stayed on top.
No cell phone reception, no waders, and no drag on our reels; just a small scale adventure with three lines in the air.

What can I say? I loved every minute of it. ~150 fellow anglers in attendance all focused on fishing induced adrenaline. Having the historic theatre venue 2 blocks form my house didn’t hurt, either.
